A portable appliance is a piece of equipment that is hand held while connected to the electrical supply, or can be moved easily while connected to the supply. Typical examples are a toaster or a vacuum cleaner.

According to the Health & Safety Executive, 25% of all reportable electrical accidents involve portable appliances. This can be due to damage to the cable, the connections, or to the equipment itself.

We use the latest equipment to test your portable appliances, and we provide a fully itemised register of items for future reference.

Annual Checks – to make sure your appliances are still safe

We offer to come back every year to re-test your appliances. If you let out your home, then you may be required to have them tested every year.
