Emergency Escape Lighting

If there is a fire in your house and the power fails, it could be very difficult in the pitch dark to find your way safely downstairs and out of the house. This would be particularly difficult for the elderly.

Emergency escape lighting is designed to come on when the mains power goes off, and provide enough light to help you find your way out of a building.

We can fit a range of emergency lights, both functional and decorative, and can advise on where such lighting should be located.

Annual Checks – to make sure your emergency lighting is still working

Too often, emergency escape lighting is fitted and then forgotten about, with the result that the system may fail to work when there is an emergency.

In particular, emergency lighting depends on rechargeable batteries, and it is therefore vital that the batteries are functioning correctly.

We offer to come back every year to carry out an annual check and test that the battery levels are adequate for you to find your way out in an emergency.
